Joan Grandjean's article on Gulf Futurism has just been published in the 80th issue of the academic journal Horizons Maghrébins (2019): "Demain, le printemps: pratiques d'imagination et d'anticipation dans le monde arabe", edited by Laure Assaf, Mariangela Gasparotto and Marion Slitine.

In this article, he discusses how to think about an art history of Gulf Futurism through the study of Sophia al-Maria and Fatima al-Qadiri's works and circulations.
