organised by Hikaya and Les Intergalactiques

with Luis Carlos Barragán and Joan Grandjean

Online, 19.9.24, 7 pm

Hikaya presents Confluences, a series of panels dedicated to non-Anglo-Saxon science fiction and fantasy ! It has a double goal: on one side it wants to connect people working in this field from different cultural backgrounds, and on the other to show the diversity of the international Sci-Fi scene to its audience . The panels will be broadcast on Hikaya’s channels (Instagram, YouTube channel and Facebook page). During these panels, the audience will also be able to ask questions to the guests.
It will start on the 3rd of September and will end with an online event in collaboration with the Intergalactiques festival during the weekend of October 11th.

On the 19th of September, Luis Carlos Barragán, a Colombian science fiction artist and writer based in Cairo, and Joan Grandjean, an art historian specialised in contemporary Arab art and futurities, will both discuss about their practices and research on visual art, science fiction and futuristic post-colonialism.
