Leading House MENA
Promoting scientific collaboration between Switzerland and the MENA region
The University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland (HES-SO) manages the Leading House for the Middle East and North Africa (LHMENA). After a first four-year mandate during which 35 mobility stays, research collaborations and innovation projects received our support, we are happy to announce our activities for 2021-2024.
Programme
For this new mandate, the focus will be put on research projects. A regular instrument, the "Research partnership grants", will be launched three years in a row. It will be followed by a more important instrument, the “Consolidation grants”, launched in the second half of the mandate. Each call will be announced on our website and by email. The schedule for the next four years will be as follows:

Kick-off
The Leading House organises a kick-off event to present its new funding instruments and, more generally, to bring together the people in Switzerland who collaborate with the MENA region. It will also be the occasion to present some of the projects that were supported by the Leading House MENA during the 2017-2020 mandate. This kick-off event will take place on Monday 18th October, from 2pm to 6pm, in Fribourg and online. Detailed information and registration will be available soon on our website. Interested researchers can already save this date in their calendars.
Until then, we remain fully available to answer any questions that you may have. Please feel free to contact us by email or by phone at the number below. And remember that you can check research.swiss anytime to see the opportunities for bilateral collaboration offered by all the Leading Houses, SNFS, Innosuisse and more.
