Nacer Khemir (born in 1948 in Tunisia) is a writer-storyteller, filmmaker and visual artist. He is the author of about fifteen books, as well as fifteen films, including "La Trilogie du Désert" distributed in Switzerland by Trigon-Film. At the age of thirteen, his discovery of the works of Paul Klee (1879-1940) brought about a change in his outlook. As an admirer of the German artist, he returned in 2007 from Tunis to Kairouan to follow the journey that Klee had taken in 1914.

This journey is the subject of the film "Le Voyage à Tunis", directed by the Swiss director Bruno Moll. After fifteen years, his admiration for Klee led him to a personal book to be published in 2023 entitled "Paul Klee and Me". A meeting between two cultures that have enriched each other.
