In the early 2000s, the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art (TMoCA) introduced two new exhibition formats: individual showcases featuring European artists and thematic exhibitions highlighting contemporary Iranian art. This lecture will explore the impact of TMoCA's updated exhibition strategies and shifts in Iranian cultural administration on the globalization of Iranian art, including its increased exposure in international art markets and exhibitions abroad.
