The Arabic Studies Section is pleased to invite you to the roundtable discussion "Quelle peut être la contribution de la « diplomatie des objets » à l’étude du Moyen-Orient ?", which will take place on May 15, 2024, between 12:15 and 13:45 at the Salle des Moulages of the University of Geneva (Rue des Vieux-Grenadiers 10).
Referring to the theme of the public lecture on the cultural diplomacy of Middle Eastern countries, the speakers will try to answer the question of how these rather special objects, diplomatic gifts, can shed new light on this region, as well as on the way in which the countries that make it up present themselves in the eyes of the international community, starting from very concrete cases.
